Mercedes unveiled the details of its new Project ONE hypercar this week with a promise that it will truly make the transition from the racetrack to the road. Project one is a 2.8 million dollar engineering feat that takes the best of Mercedes formula 1 racing technology and makes an unbelievably fast car. The 1.6 Liter V6 may seem anything but impressive, but with 11,000 rpm it produces 748 horsepower and has a 0-60 mph of 2.6 seconds. Project one makes use of four electric motors and plug in hybrid technology to produce a hyper car that is fast and relatively efficient (a word used lightly here). The 275 Project One hypercars will begin production in 2019.
